I'm now up to 2nd in London with a 58.6 - but I think there is still at least 2 tenths of a second to find round there. I think quite a lot of people don't brake round the second corner, the first part of the fast S bend. This pushes you wide for the second part, and its easy to hit the wall. I touch the brakes so I get a better line through the second one, so its a bit quicker for the short stretch down to the next corner.

Getting the last corner spot on it absolutely vital too. You can't turn in too early or you clip the inside, so stay wide and brake late, then you can shoot out and not hit any walls hehe
I'll have to download you ghost.
You got all aids off and using pro-mode. as 58.6 is very good.

Just had a quick razz and managed a 59.5, still loads of time out there though. Must stop trying to drift round the second s-bend.......

I have all aids off, but I was doing it in standard mode rather than pro.

I'm now 58.3, still maybe a tenth out there.

Just improved to 16th with a 59.212. Think I need to have a break now, trying to hard. Can consistently lap in the high 59s but always manage to clip either the second or last corner when going for the elusive 58s.

You can download my ghost if it helps. Are there any other combinations for us to be having a crack at?

I must say I do like the London track. We could always try a drift challenge somewhere? I haven't had a go at that on Prologue yet.

What the point of turning aids off and then driving std, as that's no different than using aids.

Also can't find you on the ranking list strange.

You have to have completed all B class races.

I am on the leaderboard with the other PHers confused

Its under BMW Tii, London forward, standard, on Time Trial rather than Drift.

I'm currently 14th (Nots) doing London in the BMW 1 Series tii in the Pro class.

That was with everything off. I'm going to try playing around with Active Stability control and maybe a little TC, but some corners you need to be able to hoof it just to get the back round... maybe the handbrake would help here.

1st place is like 1.8 seconds quicker. I think if I nailed every corner I could get it close to 1 second, but god knows where I'm gona find that.

Must say, its very addictive.

Will join in on this once I get the F1 car. Do you get credits in online mode? If so, how many?

Am I missing something about GT5P?

I have gold in every event except the ones where you have to beat the lap times within 10 minutes - which I have succeeded in getting gold in none of them

Argh!

But i will be up for a bit of lap times also - my username is the same on pus3

You don't get money for doing these time trials.

also not sure why so many people are using Std. Pro is the only way to play.

Agreed - alhough I find the standard mode far more fun for lap times it separates the wheat from the chaff.

Anyone do drift trials?

Anyone who wants to add me as a pus3 buddy feel free - but let me know you're a PHer
A couple of my friends and I have been adding drift scores and lap times (w/ track & car info) as comments to lay down the gauntlet to other friends.

Only in high powered (and generally 2WD) cars, in pro you have to be far smoother with steering and throttle, whereas in std, turn in, power on, bob's yer uncle.
