All,

Just opened forza 3, been playing most if the day.

My brother bought it for me, and is threatening to buy the bits needed to get me online.

Question:

Old le mans track, audi r10.

What's a good time?

Just so I know what I'm against before I go online.

Managed a 3.19.106

Is this any good, or am I a long way off

Just for you I did the same lap smile

3.17.817 I did 2 laps and the 2nd was ok but lost 2 seconds in the last chicanes frown so for me a 3.15 is possible.

This put me in 1060th position 3.19's are around 1300th

But try doing a 3.19 with people ramming you at mach 10..

Hope this helps,

Steve ( xbl @ fundayterrorist )

edit: or with a clean lap, this would put you 132nd.

Going to do a clean lap time now

Tonight is Friday Forza for the chaps on the Edge forum (and my husband) so there will be plenty of folk to race with. Just check one of the 30 or so threads on here, add a bunch of users and get going!

Sorry to trouble again, but could someone tell me where a 3.10.383 would put me on the old le mans circuit in the Peugot?

Been practising like buggery!!

Think this sounds like a little time-trial challenge smile

See what I can do over the next few days.

Can't help with lap times, but do you really have to buy additional gear to get online? I'm about to buy an xbox, and have never owned one before (ps3 man myself).

If you can route a cable through to your router then just a network cable, and XBOX live subscription. (£40 from MS or ~£26 from ebay)

If you can't then either network cable to a laptop and setup a wireless bridge or get the wireless adapter, it has to be the official MS one and is around £60.

Thanks for that. I have a couple of network points next to my tv so it'll work fine. I'm going to get this bundle, it says I get "Xbox LIVE Silver Membership", do I still need the subscription you mention?

Can't see the package as at work and game sites are blocked !!

All consoles come with silver membership. Gold subsrciption is required to play online, silver allows you online & to send recieve messages and download patches / demo's etc.

When you sign up to silver you get 1 month free gold.

Short answer - Yes. smile
Tim.

4Hero, bear in mind Asda are currently doing the Elite plus four games (inc FM3) and an extrac controller for just shy of £200

If they have stock!

My local only has Forza and wont do the deal as it is supposed to include NFS - oddly, its both games or nothing and NFS is out of stock. I took the deal minus the games in the end as i couldnt be bothered to wait.

Just had a quick 20 mins after getting home with the R10 and got a 3:12.881 which is 110th on the leaderboard.

Have to say I did have ABS and TCS on although with a bit more time I can usually match it with no aids anyway.

Will have a try in the Pug later but I'm going out drink in a mo so might be a bit drunk when I get back.

How's it hanging Ems - I saw your burns thread late - respect your attitude. I'm ex Army so have seen a mate or two deal with stuff and I'm always humbled.

Class is R1.

Just got home so will have a go in the Pug - may have a go and see if the Toyota that is throwing up top ten times is worth a punt.
