Nice! I took a look the other day but looked very bare. Needs some colour and decoration inside I think. Maybe some wood log beams to give it some structure and life.

I've been working on the villagers and am going to be building an auto sugar cane tower and melon/pumpkin tower this week.

I still plan to add some more life to the server from "recruiting" on the minecraft forums too but I want to be around to supervise any newcomers for a while and I'm too busy with work til December.

I'd have been impressed if they'd built it from scratch rather than simply converting map data into blocks.

I believe there's a Silicon Valley creative server that's been going since Alpha and is a true representation of the real thing. That's all built by hand.

Punch a tree, get wood, make crafting bench, craft tools, start mining.

You can make a pen for them and breed them. Right click on 2 close by animals of the same type to breed them :

Cows - wheat
Pigs - carrots
Chickens - grass seeds

I would suggest making the pen out of solid blocks rather than fence as animals in the game have a habit of glitching through fences when you're not looking.

I guess that was a skeleton. Enemy mobs spawn in the dark, so it is generally best to build yourself a nice safe simple cabin with a door and put a bed in it (3 sheeps wool on top of 3 plants of wood in a crafting bench). Sleeping resets your spawn point and short-cuts to daytime. You might want to light up any dark areas with torches (1 stick+1 coal). Then when you have some metal, look at making some armour and a sword (Google's your friend there really).

If you are into growing things then modded Minecraft has loads of well established 3rd party mods for that sort of thing. But I would get used to the plain vanilla one first.

This thread seems a bit quiet now.

Is it mainly for Multiplayer people on the server?

Ive recently started playing it on the PS4 edition and hooked.

Tried to build a Mob farm yesterday but nothing seems to be spawning now, whereas it did to start with.

My classic mob farm on PC/Java doesn't seem to be doing much either. Pretty sure I have lit up most of the caves in the area. I wonder if they changed the min/max spawn distance.

Any PS4 players got the new bedrock update yesterday and now cant find anything in the crafting menu? Also there are no "clicks" when moving stuff in inventory which I find annoying.

wonder if I can somehow reset it to PS4 edition. Although finding some bees might be cool.

Is anyone playing this still? I used to play on PC way back in 2011 and recently bought it on xBox (along with a Realms subscription) so I can play with my partners youngest son. It's changed so much in 9 years!
