Did try the search andf couldn't see a topic about this yet.
It's still in beta but have been playing it the last couple of evenings and so far very impressed. It's a load of fun. Anyone else playing?

I'd say it's not strictly an MMO as you join battles each time. If anyone wants info on how to get in slightly quicker than using the signup page on the website send me a pm.

Been playing for a couple of months, it was better before the reset when I had an epic tank and everyone had a tin can then they reset it and gave everyone enough gold to buy the big boys. I've seen battles with 6 or more IS7
It kind of lost something at that point however it's still an epic game and perfect for mindless fun with a few beers.

A bit of a thread resurrection here but i started playing this after seeing this thread and I spotted a pher (on the losing side lol) a couple of nights ago so hi hypnotoad.
Are people still enjoying it? I like playing arty or with my sherman I havent liked playing as a heavy yet but only got a kv so would imagine it is better once you get to a tiger or similar.

Joined the open beta last night. Huge, and very accessible fun !
Got my first new tank, Pzkvkzkfkr II, but can't afford ammo yet
Also found a great trick for advancing quickly. Once you're dead, you can exit the match, your tank remains there. You can then play another game in the meantime with one of your other nationalities and you get the XP/credits from the original game when it ends. Nice, and gives a continuous play experience.
Finding the lack of downward gun elevation on the early tanks a bit of a pain when trying to go hull down at the moment, hoping the later tanks will rectify.

Another WoT'er here.....what an awesome little game this is. Slightly geeky ? Yes. Shedloads of fun ? Ohhhhhh yes!
I have been registered for a couple of weeks now and got up to the (low!) heights of a Hetzer with 105mm upgrade, still get my ass kicked most of the time but I blame the slightly dodgy match-sorting thingummyjob software that pits me against King Tigers and all the other big ones with my eeny-weeny leetle tank. Seem to get good results only from camping and ambushing the bigger stuff...but I prefer rushing around blatting away at anything that moves.
I think tanks may be a bit of a 'fringe' PHer experience given Catchpole's recent column when he described taking his girlfriend to the Tank Museum, brave man....

tried a training server, most of the tanks were of much older players and so tanks were 2-3 times the size, got bored very, very quick and not sure will bother returning
thought the idea of a training server was to get used to the game with similar sized tanks and not be cannon fodder for older players

Looks interesting, the last time I played an online tank battle game was around 1998. Tanarus - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6C7BrpI8ygg , way too addictive.

Get straight in to Battles, training doesn't offer much and in the normal battles you'll be on the match making system so should be against similar tanks.thought the idea of a training server was to get used to the game with similar sized tanks and not be cannon fodder for older players
Plus in training battles you earn no exp or credits so you're better off doing battles.
