Nice video but which mic did you use?

I knew somebody would ask that question!!! Now you've made me find out...

It's a Hama LM-09

It's a great mic but with two issues

The control box is too near the mic so I have to tape it to the outside of my car rather than in the boot. Secondly it's only mono and comes as left only when played in stereo, so I have to combine the channels (not a big deal)

I picked up a Go Pro Hero2 and a Sony HX9V ealier this year and set about making some videos..

The first was a Time Lapse of the journey from Worcester to Thirsk, it was my first attempt and was recorded at a shot every 5 seconds.. not ideal, but here it is..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EBqdcow7bU&hd=...
(and yes, I know Sail is over used!)

The primary reason for picking the two up was to improve on my iPhone shot videos of RedVictor3..

The first video with the new kit was shot at the "Main Event" at Santa Pod..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ky6QXk2K610&hd=...

Then onto the second video shot at the Summer Nationals, entitled "Smokin' the Summer Nationals", for good reason!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbKA8lWaqPg&hd=...

More recently I've got into the panning time lapse concept, so have been tinkering with that..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ak50piRVGNE&hd=...

There we go, we're up to date.. That should kill about 30-40 minutes for you!

All edited with Windows Live Movie Maker (hate it, hate it, hate it) but will be changing that soon..

Happy to hear any feedback you might have..
(A 2900 frame clouds time lapse is currently rendering...)

How did you rotate the camera? I like that.

My recommendation is Sony Vegas Movie Studio which is around £30 on Amazon

Titled - 50 Shades of Brown in memory of the bathroom as it was..

Timelapse (pic a minute) whilst I ripped out and then reinstated one of the bathrooms.

Unfortunately you won't see the finished article for a couple of months as I'm away and coincindentally won't capture the floor being laid of the painting or the toilet and basin being installed.

A friend let me borrow his GoPro as I was going flying with Ben and wanted to get some video footage. Couldn't find anywhere really to secure the cam so it is all handheld so its no the best!

Just dicking around for the first 2 minutes but after that we get into the aero's. If the camera is facing me then Ben is flying and if its behind then I'm flying! smile

Made this last night as the balloons were going up at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta

Bristol Balloon Fiesta 2012

1 photo taken every second. I hastily moved the camera prior to the video starting because they rose in a different place to last year. After leaving it running I noticed the sky looked amazing towards the end of the video

A little off topic, but this is probably the best place to ask.

I'm looked to get an helmet/bullet cam. GoPro 2 seems to be the winner unless you can recommend something better.

The only question is where to buy. People have said that buying from USA is cheap but to be honest I can't be bothered dealing with RM customs etc.

There was a shop based in Germany than had potential savings but I can't find it anymore.

Other than that Amazon?

Cheers!

I like the Contour cameras. Slimline, GPS logged and bluetooth to your phone for view alignment.

Bush flying in the Pilatus Porter over the jungles of Borneo. Filmed entirely with a GoPro HD and edited using iMovie on my MacBook Pro. Enjoy cool
