This one means a lot to me: our daughter started an internship at Port Lympne zoo working with Gorilla's at the start of the year and she organised for us to go behind the scenes to feed them. It was taken on the roof looking down through the cage and I managed to get our reflection in the Silver Back's eye; I do find it sad as the reflection shows how he see us with the wire so prominent.

Another thread that needs a bump, have an American Alligator, taken in Florida from a canoe (with a long lens!)

And an Eastern Pondhawk (pondhawk is such a good name for a dragonfly!) from the same day.

Surprised I saw one this late in the year. Normally a good few out and about in the summer.

I'm just back from a trip to Canada and northern US. It got expensive when I saw wolves on the other side of the river but only had a 70-200 with me on a full frame camera.
I now own a Tamron 150-600...

(this was with the 70-200)

And the picture that started the proper spending!

The photos of the Wolf and Coyote are seriously cropped. I've still never seen a sodding bear though!
