How's the Isle of Barra Hotel these days Baz? They stopped taking dogs, so we can't go back (ETA no comments about my wife please!)
Was on Skye last night at a favourite posh nosh eatery:
(Almost got the perspective correction right in pp!)

Honestly we were a little disappointed with the Barra Hotel Steve, room was more like a spare room, it had little real furniture, IKEA metal frame rack for putting stuff on, major lack of space (we were there for a week), next trip we'll be returning to the Graigard Hotel that sits up on the hill above the bay, much better rooms if a little on the antique side. Brekkie in the Barra Hotel was good, but I did love the fact that I could get a pizza crunch at the chippy van that serves on certain nights down in Castlebay. How's the Isle of Barra Hotel these days Baz? After so many trips to Skye (approaching 15 stays up there now from 3 days plus) we're still fully in love with the place and know almost every nook and cranny there is to be found, just need someone to leave us a small pile of cash to facilitate the move

Baz, yep, we were a bit disappointed too, but it's the position on the beach that made it worth the trip. We had to break the news to Charlie that they had stopped taking dogs VERY gently.
Another from yesterday on Skye:

The thing that I just realised while talking to the other half is that they seem to think that they're exempt themselves in that case, as the reception always had a large black dog padding around including behind the counter...!!!baz7175 said:

Ha! Name of Beamish. He's great. Did he take you for a walk? He used to sit outside the back door when we were there, and wait for people to go out... and would lead you on a walk to the end of the beach and back.GetCarter said:
