That gets around, it was at the Gold Cup a few weeks ago.

Nice set Kman, I do like your processing style. How much retouching goes into these images - I'd imagine the interior for example isn't as clean as it looks?
Fortunately not too much time on cleaning up in retouch - the car was pretty thoroughly cleaned beforehand inside out.

Shot for a client last week, 3:45am start chasing sunrise with an Aston Marton Vanquish Volante S. Totally worth the alarm call for morning light...

I'm rubbish at taking photos but was quite pleased at managing this on a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone of my 205, definitely the best photo I've ever taken.

and a couple not quite so good of my Sag. The latter heavily edited

To be fair that profile shot of the Sag is lovely, nice and simple with complimentary colours.

+1 That's the pic of the bunch for me too - maybe just needs a wee edit but not a lot smile

If someone can remove my reflection and the light mark from the door I would be eternally grateful smile

I have to agree.

Might I ask what combination of lens and shutter speed were used for this pic before I go hanging out of the window of the car on the motorway?

Edited to add I'm guessing it was somewhere around 1/125 @ f/4

Lovely photos but this one is a classic, no doubt taken just after you had washed and polished the cars eek

How can you possibly guess that?! biggrin

It's all relative depending on vehicle speed and focal length so don't take the numbers too seriously. If you want to give it a go, match vehicle speeds (would probably recommend 30-40mph to begin with), go as wide/close as you can and stick the camera in shutter priority at something like 1/80s as you don't really need to worry about the aperture. Then test and adjust from there, slower if you want more blur, faster if you want a higher success rate.

On UK roads it can be more pot luck than skill so don't feel disheartened if you struggle at first!

Cheers Rogue86, my best 'guess' was based on a few photos I took a few weeks ago at a go-cart track and was experimenting with shutter-speeds and found that most of the pics taken below 1/125 were blurry for all the wrong reasons, my next plan of attack is to sit in the rear seat of the car, which is a bit risky because the wife will be driving on the motorway, and take photos of all the cars overtaking us yikes
