I got a Mavic last week. I've been out trying to get to grips with all the functions.

I took a spherical image which can be seen here: https://flic.kr/p/W11taa

Flickr should show it as a photosphere.

Has anyone bought a 2nd hand P3P?

The prices vary wildly from £400 up-to £700 on current auctions on eBay but I've not idea what they have been actually been bought for.

Thanks.

You can search for completed auctions only to see what the final price was.

Red means no sale, green it was, ostensibly, sold.

That's a bargain. What website did you buy it from?

Best of luck with the flight, please post up some pics / video footage, as I'd love to see it

No issues with taxes etc & is it a UK model?

Have been hovering over a Mavic from these guys.

All duties / tax / delivery included , it's a chinese import. The SE is not on sale outside China at the moment.

I remember selling a P3 on eBay at the start of the year and I was astounded by how much it went for - within £50 of the new price, which given I used it a few times, I thought was very generous.
I've finally listed my used Mavic on PH classifieds and eBay; tempted to use it for a bit then sell it but haven't had the time.

I'm seconds away from pushing the button on a mavic pro bundle tomtop. Paranoid about import duty though?

Any issues with warranty and it being an EU or US plug?

Check techinthebasket.com

Seem to be a bit cheaper at present than tomtop

Same risk it seems, but shipped from the UK

I used tomtop for my Phantom 3 SE, delivered in 7 days. No additional charges from what I paid on the site (£409).

Just pulled the trigger and got the Mavic pro fly more bundle. See what comes!

Question though. I'm not yet licensed but have a couple of requests for jobs to take some footage. Am I right in saying so long as i don't charge for them the guy can use them as he sees fit?

The rules say commercially, in return for remuneration or other valuable consideration.

Could be on a rocky road TBH.

Keep up updated on how you get on Davie - i'm assuming you're the same guy that has had a very similar discussion on FB this weekend?

Also hovering over the button.

The very same.

I ended up going with dronesforless after all the palava. Not sure if it's the right decision yet mind you but time will tell.

The DJI Phantom 3 SE has just been released worldwide. Excellent value for a first time drone user. On their site at $599.

Having a ball with mine after a week or so, great stuff.

Dan - Mavic arrived today. It wasn't a breeze dealing with Dronesforless but we got there in the end. Everything is brand new and after updating everything i manager to get a very short test flight in. Was too windy and was starting to rain but i believe i've got what i paid for.

I think i will go for DJI refresh though as it's a lot more to lose should i make an arse of it.

Would i recommend DronesForLess? Yes, but so long as your eyes are wide open and you're aware you're not dealing with a local company. If i did it again i'd pay the extra £200 or so and go local.

Good to know Davie. Thanks for the update.

I'm still hovering over the tomtop purchase.

With vouchers / cash back / current offer the flymore can be got for £855.
