Random Photos : Part 4
Discussion
My wife and her friend went on a mock hunt today so I went along to get a few pics of them setting off.

I've been wanting to get into photography recently, and for Christmas Santa supplied me with a D3200. Really happy with it so far, I was out last night taking a couple of snaps and the same again today. The only problem is that I'm a bit dense with photography and don't know if the pictures are any good or not, it will just be a case of trial and error over time I'm sure!

Those are a very long way from being rubbish for someone starting out and a little cropping and general manipulation could be self-instructive.
When it comes down to it unless you are intending to go professional what you like (and your journey to arriving at that result) will be what matters.
There's a lot to like in what you posted and there are regulars on here who, iirc, were in the same position as you not so long ago.
Always experiment, always practice - it's fun for a start and certainly provides a positive impetus for learning and improvement.

Thanks for the advice, I'm going to try and get out quite a lot and just play around with different settings etc. Those are a very long way from being rubbish for someone starting out and a little cropping and general manipulation could be self-instructive.

There's a lot of nice landscapes around where I am so I'll hopefully get some good practice in and I'll post updates on here of how I get on.

John nice start! It's good you have lots of local landscape potential, by far the most important things are to have locations and then get there in good light
Thanks! The good light might be the difficult thing right now, the clouds broke yesterday, hopefully they will today as well so I can get out for some practice. PGD5 said:

Wow. All this wet and windy weather reminds me of my trip to the lakes last June...
