Random Photos : Part 4

You can tell me a bit about how it was done, if you like.
Sure I was bracketing the shot as usual - aperture mode at f16 to get the starburst from the sun - and took the +1 shot. Recovered the (almost blown) sky on the RAW file by reduce highlights 100% then boosted the shadows a bit to show the detail in the Sculpture. A wee bit of de-haze in Photoshop to give the definition in the clouds then converted to a high-key mono in Silver Efex. That was about it!
Since I've started picking up my F60 instead of my dslr, I've pulled out and rescanned a couple of negitives until I get my chemicals delivered.
It's not often someone shouts to you, and asks for his photo to be taken. He was dissapointed when he couldn't play it back.
Both On film. Developed at home.

The colour one, although if the leaves had JUST stood-off the tower it'd have been better.

Can I be contrary and prefer the B&W one? I'm not sure about the little bits of lens flare in the colour one, think it'd be better with either a lot more or none at all
I agree completely with these two, because of the flaws in the colour one I'm siding with the B&W one.Had the most amazing sortie on Thursday with the RCAF guys who are currently in the UK after travelling over from Canada to RIAT. We took off from Odiham as a two ship, coasted out near Lydd and coasted in just north of Calais making our way down to the Canadian National Vimy Memorial for a photex. An incredibly special trip and definitely a once in a lifetime flight for the Canadian guys.
