Hmm.

"Search Image" on Google suggests Brooklyn Bridge.

Is that close?

So that's about 10 mins Rob?

Do you shoot rows or columns - or is there no choice?
yeah about that, usually ~ 22min for a 360, longer if I use a 50mm (10 sec exposures there).

With my iPano I could shoot whatever order I want, this was with the novoflex vr so its far easier to shoot rows as the column adjustment is a pain.
So that's about 2.5 to 3 mins per row.or, presumably, abut 7.5 to 10 minutes between top and bottom row start and finish.

Does that difference matter much to the amount of effort required for alignment/movement and so on? Or dies the stitching software just deal with it anyway - at least to a satisfactory level of accuracy for your purpose?

Sorry for all of the questions but I could imagine that some patience might be required - especially for a 360.
The overlap really fixes that plus the way I stitch

North Queensferry - just drive down into town then the road branches off to the west and you can drive just under the current road bridge and park up there. Lot's on nice views of the new bridge smile

Excellent Matt clap

Do you have a similar set up to Rob or something less complex?

I don't quite have the equipment and I definitely can't match the talent!

I'm using a Nikon D750 and a Samyang 14mm F2.8, the distortion of a wide angle lens does lead to some problems trying to stitch panoramas.

No, I got a ride up in a cat, it would be a long walk!

Couple of questions if you don't mind;

- How do you avoid distortion in your panoramas? I find that to achieve a true horizon means the sky becomes progressively more stretched to the point that the stars are oval, the only way I can find to avoid it is to have a curved horizon which looks even worse!

- The sharpness and clarity of the stars in your pictures, is it down to the lens or something else?

The 14mm will distort the view i prefer 35 or 50 for stitching. MW being high will cause perspective issues when stitching too, I tend to shoot 360s then , having frames both left and right stops some distortion. I use as good a prime as I can, the sy14 is ok but not really a pano lens

In real life without the lens distortion, it's straight - we're looking out across the disc of the galaxy, so we see a band of stars, like looking at a CD edge on.
Thanks smile

I am always mesmerised by seeing photos of stars.
