Hope they all had a good time. I visited the real thing as it is quite a spectacle!
They all thoroughly enjoyed it thanks, I imagine the real thing would be much more exciting.

First trip out into the world for a while (lots of fambly fotos over Xmas), and I went hoping to get some pictures of Thomason Foss (inaccessible, path damage) and Falling Foss.

And here's a random picture of my niece that I took with my new 40mm pancake, assisted by my other new toy, a Speedlite 430EX II.

I doubt that'll be the last time that shot goes to print, Rob!

Your images are full resolution, picture posting guidelines say no longer than 750px on any side smile

If you use a hosting service like flickr they do the resizing for you and provide forum code to paste into PH smile

I really want to improve my photographs next year, so Santa got me a Nikon D5200. I think this one is an ok start. Anything I could have done better?

Nice shot Aidan smile

My 2p worth - do you do any pp ? ( ie Photoshop or similar) If so you could brighten it a bit perhaps and also check if there's a colour cast (there often is when shooting indoors).

Thanks, and no pp. That's a whole different thing I need to look at. I have a very old version of Photoshop. I'll have a look at what you mentioned. smile

If you're going to get 'serious' about your photography it's probably worth investing in PS Elements - there are always deals around and you shouldn't have to spend any more than £40/£50 smile
