All shadows believe they are called "You bd" on account of what people generally say to them

biggrin

Well, there's Evil Smelling Bugger, who developed a series of complex tensor equations, and a few other epithets, but the principle is correct.

Charlton Heston, starring as Judah Ben-Hur. The chap on the camel shadow is William Wyler, director of Ben-Hur. The film took 11 of the 12 Oscars in the categories for which it received a nomination at the 1960 Academy Awards.

William Wyler was a prolific and successful film director active from the 1920s to the 1970s, and was the man who directed the original 1944 documentary "The Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress", upon which the later film was based...

A truely stunning, but tragic photo taken at the exact moment a mortar round 'cooks off' in the tube as it is fired during a training exercise.

The photo has been released as a tribute to the people that died at the scene, 4 afghans soldiers and an American soldier/photographer.

The story:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4464568/Ar...

Edited to hide image on request. Sorry if it's caused upset to any individual. But I think the image is worthy of being seen, as the photographer gave her life taking it.

Yes I think it is. It's terrible that people lost their lives, but in the context of a picture or as a snapshot of history it is a great photo.
