Looks like they didn't know how to HDR properly so buggered about with the contrast and/or tone map.

Thing is, it WOULD be a great photo if they hadn't butchered it. Bit like Scarlett Johanssen going to a cheap plastic surgeon...

Do you think that even if they had got all that photoshoppin' correct it would make it any closer to being in the right forum?
