Foothills of the Nepali Himalayas, flying back from Pokhara to Kathmandu in January. I liked the graduations.

Brilliant image.

There's so many photos I see that are just converted to black and white because the colour version was rubbish but this is making use of B&W to create an impact and is very well processed. I really feel as if I'm in that cave looking out.

For what is a simple image, I like this. The fact the pier is completely devoid of people makes me ponder the scene and I feel like there's a story there. I think this is helped by the low vantage point as it isn't from a normal 'human' perspective, so makes me feel that there wasn't even anyone there taking the shot.

I don't think this works sorry.

There's nothing in the frame that my eye can focus on or pick out, B&W makes it actually strain my eyes.

It's a mildly interesting image but I don't have any emotional response to it. It's technically sound but I can't find any creativity in it really. There's no use of light/drak to create mood and think it would be a little more interesting in normal colour. I dont think B&W suits the image, what was your reason for deciding that's how it should be processed?

"I went for a vintage look"

Why? What does it lend to the photo? I can't see much in the way of photography here but maybe there's a story behind it that would lend it some purpose?

I like this. Good use of B&W and the unusual shape makes it interesting to the eye. and wouldn't look out of place in the lobby of a modern office.

+1. More proof that its true that good photography is all about light.
