I've not seen all the questions, just a few that have been posted on a forum. Curious to know why one question would have two answers though. There's been some confusion over the question related to using a drone near a crowd of 1,000 people. Some didn't realise you could reduce separation distance to 30m on take off/landing.
And providing you dont move in any direction than up and down you can reduce your 50m to 30m by taking the pictures directly above where you took off

The questions are stupid - I haven't looked at drone rules since I got my mavic air when they first came out. I only EVER fly in either very remote areas where no other people are around (think deserts and remote mountains) and never that high as I'm filming me on the ground (on my bike) or at very low altitude (10m at most) and HATE being a noisy tt so never near other people.

So I sat the test blind, answered what sounded about right and passed in 3 mins. 100% waste of time - considering what they suggest it's going to do.

I have my own domain, but none of the photos I post are more than 400k

Talking of which, I changed to a Mavic 2 pro as my P4pro was playing up.. limp gimbal (ooooh matron).

Not used the drone for a few years but got back to using it.

Only shooting 1080p as memory cards too slow for 4K, is there a way to stop YouTube killing the image or better places to upload to?

Is DJI site any good?

If you're recording in 1080 and Youtube plays in 1080 (which it does), I'm not sure what the problem is??

Massive drop in perceived quality when on YouTube (frame judder, detail loss, increased artifacts etc)

Looks like it was shot in 2002 not 2020

Have you altered Youtube to play in 1080p... it often defaults to low res. Click on settings and choose HD.

A good tip, even if you have shot in 1080p, is to create a 4k timeline in your video editor, plonk your 1080p footage in there and scale to 4k.

Export and upload to YouTube, it then isn't as compressed. The other alternative is Vimeo smile

Yep tried that but thanks for the pointer, will give the 4K upscale idea a try (Any ideas for a Mac using free stuff)

Not having a go, and nice video but are you familiar with the registration scheme and the laws.

No issue in you not following them as long as you know you are not following them.

I think what Surveyor is trying to get at, is the fact that your video shows you flying in an area classed as "Congested". The only way round to do this would be with a PfCO. If you had gained a Flyer ID you would have had to answer the online questions, based on the drone code, which includes Congested Areas.
To further correct your post, you don't have a "License" and you don't register your flight with the CAA.

Yep was aware of that with the church but took the approach of no people and careful not to spy on mrs miggins and her orgy

With the street shots all residents were aware and happy

Normally I’d not have done it but with no one out I took the chance

The railway is a closed charity line with no closed access

Sorry not caa but use the nats tool to check air space, other registered drone flights and it registers the flight and time I’ll be flying.
