I tried to fly my Mavic Air in the dark once. Aborted swiftly as it had a mind of its own !

I took my Mavic Mini out for a play today, ony the third time since I got it back in January, due to lockdown and being too busy at work!

Any recommendations of websites to look at for some tips and ideas?
I've looked on a couple of the Mavic Mini Facebook pages before I deleted my Facebook account and they seemed to be full of rather 'different' people so any more useful advice would be great!

I'd say always have a picture in your head before you take off.

I prefer minimal time in the air, just be aware of your surroundings.

Dougie.

Finally pulled the trigger on a drone, ordered the Mini 2 on Monday, delivered Tuesday (fantastic service from The Heliguy) and had my first proper play with it this morning. Pretty impressed so far I must say.

Taken before the sun rose.

some beautiful pictures here. With the pictures is there much editing to do from the drone or are they all raw?

Welcome to 2021 everyone - who has completed their drone registration already?

I imagine there will be a few people putting their drones on Ebay over the next year or so..

Sorry to interrupt the flow of stunning images - but does a Mavic Pro 1 still cut it from a photography & 'drone' point of view?

Or would a newer one offer something much better?

Everything is slightly better in the 2 - speed, distance, fly time, bit rate etc, but the main difference is the bigger sensor, which does improve picture quality. Having said that, the 1 should still cut the mustard :0)

This is with the 2 (16th file size)
