I don't have an iPad but it seems to me that's your problem. It doesn't have the grunt/flexibility you need; it's designed for surfing not computing. So maybe you need to take the original image file to a friend who has a PC or Mac and get them to upload it for you?

Seems like a very good idea to me...

One other suggestion is just walk into one of the shops on the high-street with a photo print facility and insert your SD card into the machine, would be far cheaper for small quantity runs than going to the expense of buying a laptop.

Incidentally I was wandering around Victoria Centre a few days ago and noticed a few used MacBook Pro laptops up for sale at around £500, I have an old 13" MacBook Pro and it is plenty fast enough for editing photographs so if you don't want to go to the expense of buying new then that is another option for you. Benefit of buying an older MacBook (I think pre-2012) is that you can upgrade the RAM and hard-drive on it unlike the more modern stuff which is all glued in.

Indeed... also, they have SD card and USB sockets!

Won't all those options have the same problems as photobox though as the problem I have is when they are being uploaded to the iPad, the iPad is "squashing" the files so unless the iPad comes out of the equation then the same thing will happen??
Looking at the web for Snapbridge:

Original JPEG pictures or thumbnail images can be transferred
Are you syncing the original pictures?

ETA: There are a number of exif viewers - try this to see what the resolution of the pictures are to check they are being transferred correctly https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/exif-viewer-ipad-e...

Thanks again guys, yeah I will look into the high street print out shops, Iv seen them doing it in jessops when I was in looking at cameras.
Regarding the transferral of the photos, I'm unsure if I'm syncing the original file, it's something I will also look at.
