Subject for April 2018 is Underground, in the sense of below the earth.
I searched the archive and couldn’t find this theme so hopefully it will prove interesting.

This could be pictures of/in/of something in a subway, tunnel, hole in the ground, cellar (where I shot my “winning” photo ), cave, crypt.

Being underground removes any weather issues and probably allows a bit more flexibility/creativity for lighting

Good luck everyone.

Rules:

The photos taken must be your own work and taken in the month of the competition.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.
Entries and discussion on this single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.

PS Here’s one I did earlier in a crypt (2016) for your entertainment.

OK I thought that a new/unused theme might have generated more interest in the monthly competition! Still it’s a better response than the March competition had where I “won” smilesmile

So contrats to Dogsey the winner with a really interesting long exposure. A picture worth hanging on the wall.
Over to you for May.

Apologies for the delay, and thanks for choosing me! New topic up shortly.
