Yeah, the same fate happened to Pioneer recently after being bought out by a private investment firm.
Noticed the Pioneer name plastered over PC SSD drives which have very bad reviews so the name is now just a rebadging exercise trading on previous reputation the same as Denon, Marantz and pretty much any other well known brand from back in the day.

I'll add Roberts. Once a British radio icon, now a flimsy bit of Chinese tat that that weighs 3g. But it says 'ROBERTS' on the front.

Always reminded of this photo when I hear Olympus. The modern digital version of this is a lovely thing.

It’s a shame, but inevitable really
I purchased Olympus OMD a couple of years ago, great camera,
Purchased Iphone 11 pro at the end of last year. The Olympus hasn’t been used since..
The phone camera is better in some respects. But it’s always on me, so gets better pics !

Same here.

My S9 contract is up next month, looking forwards to the Pixel 5. Love my EM5 II but it sits unused in a desk these days.
