I am working on a project for a client. The network will be accessed by remote users via VPN. Once into the network they will require Internet access, split tunnelling on the PC is a no-no, so I need to provide outbound Internet access from within the LAN. The Network has been designed with a Cisco Firewall/VPN unit (ASA 5500). Any of the Cisco aces know if this can perform like a proxy server (similar to MS ISA Server).

No. You'll need a proxy server.

Thanks for that. Therefore I am considering MS ISA Server, but slightly concerned that it will start crying when the clients connect using the Cisco VPN client. Any experience of seeing the two working together happily ??

Yes, I have it all working nicely here. I have an ISA back to back against a PIX. VPN in from any OS using the Cisco VPN client making sure your browser is set to use the ISA as your proxy and bob's your uncle.

Lovely. Just found a great article on the web that describes just that. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.
