EXIF data is already in the image...

Install firefox

then install the fxif plugin

Then it's right click on an image, choose properties, hey presto:

Camera Make: Canon
Camera Model: Canon EOS 5D
Image Date: 2006:08:19 01:25:01
Flash Used: No
Focal Length: 47.0mm
CCD Width: 6.17mm
Exposure Time: 0.0040 s (1/250)

or google for "view exif" and download the normal widows version for free. Works the same way, but not all images have exif info enabled.

You can turn it off in your camera.

That's correct. Why do I use that? Well on the 5D it does a bloddy good job of getting the exposure right - ergo the shot above.

I didn't spend £1800 on a camera to have to faff around when standing on the side of a main road with cars zooming past 2 feet away from you at 80mph!!!!

Amen - I often use Program, simply because Canon does a really good job with it.
