Rubbish weather and not much about to shoot, so pulled back some loose bark on a tree in the garden.......

Good work Glynn! Not much doing up here (Edinburgh) this early in the season but I have treated myself to a Canon 100mm and Fringer adapter so I can mount it on my X-T2 - will be looking to get going with this sometime soon smile

Not recently but looking to get out and about in the next couple of weeks!

Nice set by the way, especially the head-on view of the fly.

First shot with Fuji X-T2 + Canon 100mm via Fringer Pro. The Fringer works well enough - focusing is relatively slow but no big deal for macro. Definitely a viable option if there are any Canon lenses you fancy for your Fuji smile

Been a wet week here in the Dordogne, but I always find that a few rain drops can give a 'lift' to the plantlife.

I'm starting to have a dabble with some Neewer extension tubes and a focus rail now that the kids have gained some caterpillars for their butterfly farm.

Shooting through a plastic tub is quite difficult especially when the depth of field is so shallow! I've had to to go f22 for this one:

Love those bubble pics. Here's my pathetic offering of a beetle. It's a female (kind, I don't know). She sits on a leaf and partially opens her wing caps exposing the sex organs on her back. Also exposes the brightly coloured body underneath which I assume attracts the male. There was lots of shagging going on on the Beech hedge!

Very few bugs around up here (Edinburgh) as it's cold and wet but the A7Rii and 90mm is looking a very promising combination - this thing was pretty small, maybe 5/6mm and it's come out well smile
