Grainy image, as the light was fading fast, but this 'Little Owl' was 'locked on' to his target!

I'm desperately trying to get some decent photo's of a nesting pair of Hoopoo's in my garden. There are both feeding young now.
I was watching them this morning and the female was behaving unusual.
Then from round the back of the tree came a Pine Martin!
I managed to scare it off but it will be back tonight. Then minutes later another male Hoopoo turned up and started a fight with the other male!
I'm now worried for the young. They should be out soon and now it seems the female is standing guard, with just the male fetching food and passing it to her to feed them.
I will hopefully get some pics up later but I'm not sure how good they will be!
Update. Chicks and female all killed by the pine martin. Male was calling them for most of the day yesterday and has now left.I was watching them this morning and the female was behaving unusual.

Sad news, but nature is cruel place to be and everything has to eat!Gutted!
Our local Hoopoes are doing well, but until they fledge, anything can happen.
I think you are a bit North of me, but I run a facebook group 'Dordogne Wildlife' if you are interested.......we have over 400 members (including surrounding areas), all with a passion for our wildlife, including Hoopoes and Pine Martens!

The light had gone, but a pair of Turtle Doves appeared in the garden last night......a rare sight nowadays!

Sorry, not a photo, but I just want to give a big 'thank-you' to all the people who post on this thread for making my life happier with your incredible photos. Giving up the insanity of trying to photograph tiny birds and leaving it to you loons was definitely the right decision, I salute all of you!
