Not a patch on your lot, but these were taken in Cornwall last year:

I've borrowed a 70-300 from a friend for a Lancaster flyby at the weekend and I can see why he loves it as the bird shots I've taken are nice & close...

Close at any rate, but probably not that nice!

Seagull taken in my back garden hehe
As much as I couldn't be less interested in birds photography - this my sir is an utterly stunning shot!!!

Absoutely cracking. Not sure I like the look of the seagulls around 4hero's neck of the woods though. Most of the seagulls I've encountered just like to poop on you from a height, that seagull looks more like its going to poop on you and then rip out your eyes ..... hehe

Focus OK, looks slightly over exposed to my untrained eye though...

I think you might be disappointed. There's red squirrels there though. smile

I am pretty sure those are all african birds?

Lol yeah these are African birds taken at the weekend on a visit to Chester Zoo. They are in an enclosure that you are allowed to freely walk around, so the pics get the look of wild birds.

Not great but saw an owl and had to quickly capture it! Out during the day too!!

This guy landed on my handlebars of my bike which was laid down next to me, he posed for me just long enough to take his photo!

As I typed that, I knew someone would make that joke, and even thought of making it myself.

But, I left it open to bump the thread. smile

Wow, that means they are spreading at quite a rapid rate!

A few years back it was only a few pockets of them in groups. At this that rate I might see some in my garden in Cheshire by the time I draw my pension!
