Steve,

You're right - I would.

I could probably try most of those in the book and then die content. smile

We're planning on doing the Islay Festival in 2012 which will no doubt be followed by a good trip up the west coast so if you're about I'll buy you a dram or two.

Excellent plan from all angles.

I've been trying to keep up with this for the last 4 months or so, however I let it slip mid-December (by totally forgetting..) when I got engaged! The hardest thing is remembering to do it, most people will see something picture-worthy in their day. Many pictures get taken with my iPhone, but for me I wanted to get away from the importance of what camera I used, just the actual picture being taken. I've run into a brick wall with using film cameras, its very hard to take, develop and scan a picture in a day..

Here's mine: http://asinglepicture.wordpress.com/

One of my NY resolutions is to not miss posts!

I don't think any of the above are using film cameras!

This year instead of using any of the 100+ uglydoll figures etc I've collected over the years I decided to use only one of them for the entire year (with occasional "extra" walk on performances from the others), and to make it have some sort of theme I decided to call it B.I.G. (Babo's informative guide), where he will explain something each day in his own unique style...

So far there's been Hogmanay, Irn-Bru, Ferries, the German city of Landshut, Safes, Erdinger Weiss Bier, Doughnuts and todays entry Ice...

A few of the above:-

That's reminded me of an idea I had last year then forgot all about. Light painting ahoy for tomorrow's shot I think biggrin
Oh, and one more... if your camera has '2nd shutter flash sync' then thats also worth playing with when you are short of inspiration.

The tradition shot of a car with lights streaking across the photo and 2nd shutter sync to capture the car outline at one is always a classic. It's probably easiest to see rather than explain... I don't have a car shot, but this should give the idea.

yes Very familiar with rear curtain flash - use it a lot for my fire spinning stuff, otherwise the trails look a bit odd.

I tried light painting last night, sadly my ten year old was too tired to wait till I got the horns perfect but not to disapointed with outcome.

A couple of my first week shots for the 2011/365. I'm trying a bit more subtle editing of the photos this year so we'll see how it goes!

Day 369: Winter Wonderland on Flickr.

Day 370: Reflections in Chrome on Flickr.

I'm adding more 2011 shots and the final few from the 2010 version over the next few days between work!

A knife edge (showing approximately 15mm of a 80mm blade) which is as blunt as a blunt thing. It was made by my mate Dave for my Christmas but part of the folklore about knives is that you have to sharpen the knife yourself once you get it. So whilst at his place at Christmas I used his knife sharpening tools which I didn’t get on with and will sharpen it properly some time in the future on my own.

So expect to see a second image once that has been done.

When I say as blunt as a blunt thing – I mean it’ll still cut your finger off but it’s not as sharp, nor clean as it should be.

yeah, had the same problem on Sunday night. hadn't been feeling too great, no camera close to me as i retired for the night. lying in bed thinking i had forgotten something.

lets just say the bedroom blinds made it onto blip that night! taken from my phone lol.
