I know several of you have done this in the past and I tried it last year for a month and didn't run out of subjects.

My only concern is I travel a lot with work and I can see photographs of an office / hotel / plane seat being fairly boring.

In my happy state last night it seems I mentioned to a mate that I'ld be up for a 365.

So expect to be bored.

I thought the challenge of 365 was to make fairly boring daily things look interesting, so I won't expect the images to be boring. wink

I'm considering doing it, just curious what exactly people take pictures of?

Does anyone have any links to 365s that people have done?

Some nice stuff there, did you go out of your way to look for something to get a picture of? Or just got a picture of something interesting that happened during your day?

I just kept my camera with me all year and hoped for the best. I did post a photo every day mind... which sometimes was REALLY difficult (when it rained all day every day for a week!)

More people from here doing it currently... follow link http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I started one a few years ago and learnt a lot. I learnt to keep my eyes open for available shots a lot more which has been invaluable.

The only downside I can give is that it can be addictive... I'm now at 1200 (although I still have a few to update from the last few weeks as was on holiday so posting them retrospectively (doing these now) - http://blipfoto.com/s2

I do recommend blipfoto for it as the interface and the iphone/android apps make it easy to keep up to date on the go, not to mention the great community they have built up means you get lots of comments/views (I've had 350,000 views over the 3 years!)

I'm another Blipper..

Only just over 100 shots but the site/ apps, community etc really are good for this.

I do sometimes find it really difficult to get a picture every day but then this is supposed to be some sort of challenge...

Cheers

I'm on the road all over the world with my job 90% of the time, you soon learn to use whatever you can in some interesting way, at first it can be a little daunting but it soon passes, hence me starting off my 2nd year in pics yesterday (this time only using one of the little guys I normally feature in somewhat of an "informative guide").

Okay - it's a goer.

Two days down and two photo's in the bag. 363 to go smile

I'm going to post them on a hastily created website which may change shape/form/style depending upon how well I get on with it. - Craigs 365:2011

I might even post the odd pic in here.

I'm another one who is going to give this a try although I'm not sure all my photos are going to be great or interesting.

Thanks for the Blipfoto link, have joined and my first two pics are up.

Yup, another one started yesterday. Cheers for the link!

It's not going to be a shattering 365 though, not when i'm taking a picture of tomorrow's soup bowl. But, it is making me think of subjects.

Not going to bother with a big SLR either for the time being. Gonna keep it simple to start with, with my old Ixus.

That's the point though, isn't it? I usually take lots of photos when there are "easy pickings" but very few otherwise. For me the challenge is finding something worthwhile to photograph when otherwise the camera wouldn't see the light of day.

Mind you, browsing some of the journals on blipfoto, a few of the contributors do seem to live next to glorious scenery which happens to have spectacular weather just about every day ;-)

Most of mine so far have been with an FZ45, purely because it's the latest toy and I'm trying to get to know it better smile
