Switch Legend Decals - Gauging Interest

This is a bit speculative at the moment but it would be helpful to know if there would be any interest before I pursue this much further.

I'm touch with a guy who makes decals for the heater controls on old Fords and he's doing one for my Tasmin. He may be able to produce a sheet of switch legend decals in the correct size and font. I'd guess he's make a sheet with a range of legends on the same sheet to keep costs down and cover a range of models so you'd pick and choose the ones to suit. That's just a guess though.

I've no idea on cost but if they were reasonably priced, would anyone be interested?

There is a pretty good range available already, I used Car Builder Solutions for mine, so it would probably only be for those who wanted exact originality...if there was ever such a thing with a TVR!

Sorry for not following this through sooner but sorting out issues on the Tasmin has taken up much more time than I thought. I've finally sent the graphics guy an example of one of the little stickers and am waiting to hear back. He's normally pretty quick so I'll have a go/no go answer in a few days.

If it's a 'go' then I'll need a list of the legends and icons we'd want on the switches. There aren't that many on a V8S, all I've got are:-

R. Fog
Fan icon
Light icon

What others would be needed?

Hi Joe - yes interested too but as you say not many stickers for the S.

Let me know on cost but at this rate I reckon you'll be struggling to get a sheets worth even with a spare set each

I'll let you know as soon as I know. I think this might be of more interest to the Wedge boys really. There are 10 of these types of switches on my Tasmin.

Although as one of my switches is an override for the engine fan I'd like;

Heater
Engine Fan
Rear fog.



(Just to be awkward, but I'm guessing if he's making them form scratch it's no big deal)

I have one too so I've asked for 'Aux Fan'. Would that do? Any other special requests? Now's the time to ask

A quick update for you. The graphics guy is going to have a go at the legends/symbols and send me a sample. I'll post op photos as and when it comes through. This is what I've sent him as a starter for 10...

Not a great picture I'm afraid but i'm sure you can get the idea. I'm awaiting a price for a sheet and I've got to double check the sizes but once all that's confirmed the decal sheets can be produced and will be available from the guys eBay shop. Note this range of decals is really aimed at Wedges but there's some on here to suit the 'S'.

I can't say how translucent the white lettering would be, if at all.

Subject to price, who would like a sheet?
