So, today had a fine day out with the new acquisition and can report another satisfied owner!

I intended to take a few photographs of the S about the New Forest with the obligatory horses and donkeys, plus glorious views of the landscape and possibly a few boats in the background but, bugger that, I couldn't stop driving it!!!driving

However, I did take one when unpacked from storage!!!smile

I'm over the east side of the New Forest (Waterside area) and, I guess from your profile, you are in the Bournemouth area?

Nice Chim, BTW!! My old Chim is over on the island (Wight!!) sold to a member of the TVRCC from there when I bought the Pork!

Having had both Chim and now the S3 it's interesting to compare them. It's far more difficult to find a good S so am pleased to have found one.

Maybe a get together in the Summer at a watering hole if you guys would like?

Yes I live near Bournemouth. Get together always a good idea. Your old Chim is on the IOW, interesting, I'm originally from there, I'm going over in July to meet some old mates, planning to take Chim with me too.

You may know (or not?) that the guru for TVR stainless exhaust art is on the island, aka Clive Ford?

https://en-gb.facebook.com/clivefppa/

I attended the IOW TVRCC inaugural treasure hunt/camping weekend in the Chim and 'twas a great success!

The host landowner had a lovely early TVR although my memory fails as to which model!!!

Also, if you are interested in the life and times of one of the greatest inventors of the 20th century, this is a worthwhile visit, although you will need to book in advance!

Comparisons with horses and donkeys? Surely not! Comparisons with boats? Well, maybe. But if TVR did make boats they wouldn't have stayed afloat very long with that many leaks laugh

I wonder what difference in the chassis numbers? Although only 8 numbers away from being registered with the DVLA it may be somewhat different to production??

Don't want to post my VIN number on an open forum but am happy to pm you?

Lovely colour Mark, Green is of course the best! Which colour name? Works well with the brown hood, that is rare.

Mark, I may be about to upset some friends! I have seen a lot of S's but that is the very nicest looking one I have seen! The combination of a good green metallic and the light interior and matching hood is very special. We much prefer light interiors and she loves that one. Ours is BRG but a much earlier 'flat' BRG, and considerably darker. Ours is doeskin inside with green carpets, good but not quite as good! Mine seriously needs a respray and is now looking distinctly 'used'.

Probably Brooklands Green, I had a V8S in that colour.

Too kind Richard. I have to thank the original owner for the spec! Like you, I prefer a light interior. Exterior, I think they all look great.
Although I do wonder if that factory pink example still exists! Your car looks great from where i'm sitting.

As we have now progressed to comparing green cars, this is my previous (rare) Oak Green 968 Coupe!! Only 2 years younger than my newly acquired S3c but a world away in build quality. Not something that is easily tinkered with and parts can be eye wateringly expensive so a return to the TVR marque and, in particular, to track down a decent S3/S4 was my preferred choice!

If I had the space I would keep them all as I spend a lot of time finding unmolested originals but that isn't an option, sadly!!

With apologies for posting a Porkie pic!!! getmecoat

Yep - mine was listed as brg, and paint code says british racing green, but its clearly brooklands green.
