Andrew now has the bumper rubber in stock.
The cost is £125 plus VAT and carriage. It looks to be a perfect match, and mine should arrive shortly so I will report back.
Time to get some hens teeth while you can folks, and sort those bumpers out for the foreseeable future smile
The contact details are a few posts back.
Tony.

Hi all
I spoke to Andrew earlier and would advise that those who put their name down should contact him ASAP as the current price shall go up next month.

Mine arrived yesterday - cheers for sorting, looks good.

Does anyone have a recommendation for mounting (i.e. thin steel backing etc)?

Cheers

Alloy flat bar. Pop rivets. Penny washers.

Stainless flat bar.

Rivnuts and bolts instead of pop rivets.

Plate doesn't need to be that strong / thick. Easily bent by hand.

Or you could just bolt through at each end and use a medium strength adhesive.

Hey all,

Found this thread while I was searching for a source for the rubber bumpers.

I inherited a ‘91 S3C from my father. Unfortunately the front left rubber bumper is missing. I remember he once mentioned that he lost it while driving. He didn’t drive the car for almost two years and I want to bring it back on the road for next summer.

Are the discussed parts still available?

Cheers from the continent
Christopher

I believe he only sells full sets? If you only want the one I have a second hand rear bumper (they are longer so could be cut down to fit front), not perfect but a lot cheaper wink

***ETA*** looks like he offers 2 metre (pair bumpers) or 4 metre (enough to make all four bumpers) lengths.

Thanks a lot for the link an the offer! Let me check the other three corners on the car. Perhaps it might be an option to update all four corners at once :-)

Just a quick update for those interested in repairing or renewing their bumpers.
I finally got around to using the new bumper rubber which was supplied by Andrew and it looks great! It’s so much better that what I had originally 👍.
It was easier to fit than I anticipated as well, which was a real bonus!
Cheers. Tony.
