I knew I was doing the wrong thing when I sold my S2.

I had previously Crashed my Chimera 500 and ended up being banned from driving for some considerable time.

I had always intended to do a full body off restoration of the S2 which I had owned for 13 years, just before I got my licence back, unfortunately Life got in the way.

We bought a new house "For a Steal" however it was going to take up my time, and still does 5 years later doing it up.

Just found this on FleaBay, I am 99.9999% sure it is / was my beloved S2. The Cerbera Seats and location of the TVR Car Club Sticker finally convincing me.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-S-290-Body-TVR-290-S...

To say I am gutted is an understatement, I used that car as my daily drive for over 10 Years, even stopping at the side of the road to witness the Eclipse in 1998. OK, I didn't intentionally stop at the side of the road, the throttle cable snapped, but in 13 years of ownership, that was the only problem really.

Gutted.

OK, But they are identical to the ones I was sold as Cerbera Seats and subsequently fitted to my car.

Sorry tho, that must feel really bad. I have a not-too-valuable borderline classic in the garage, I've always said there are only 2 or 3 people I'd ever sell it to. This is why.

OK, any excuse for trim porn. These are Cerb seats...

... re-trimmed to reflect the style of the 'S' seats.

What a terrible shame. Wonder how it got in that state. What is left looks too badly water damaged to be worth saving? Douglas Valley breakers, a sad place for any TVR to finish up.

If you recognise the car as having once been yours I suggest you look away quickly ( and then give yourself 50 lashes for selling it!!!)

Sounds like the only way of doing penance for this terrible crime is to buy another one and restore it laugh

I reckon they're the original S seats, don't Chimaera seats have a slimmer profile headrest?

Whatever they are 10 minutes with a bit of stuff from Furniture Clinic and they'll be like new wink

rest of the car may take a little longer smile
