The good news is I've booked a track day at Castle Combe on 7 August - wahey! driving

The bad news is that the Tuscan is currently decatted, so now I only have two weeks in which to get the cats re-installed (100dB limit)... Can anyone recommend a local indy in the Surrey or SW London area that might be willing to do this job (and have capacity in the next week or two)?

I phoned Elmwood but they're booked solid till November (!), and out of desperation I tried National Tyres and Autocare, who unsurprisingly weren't interested in fitting parts that they haven't supplied themselves - I imagine it'll be a similar story at most garages irked

FYI, I had purchased new cats from TVR Parts with the intention of fitting them myself, but tried on the weekend with the car up on axle stands and just couldn't get the decat pipes to budge - eventually decided just to admit defeat and let the professionals take over, assuming of course I can find one willing to do the job... banghead

Putting the CATs back in is pretty simple and not a specialist job. Any competent mechanic wil a lift / ramp should be able to do it.

I thought David had closed up?

TVR101 and KentTVR can handle it. TaylorTVR round in Kent too.

Have you seen the thread about Snetterton?

Yep, I agree that it shouldn't exactly require specialist knowledge of TVRs - I've just booked it in with APD Automotive in Mitcham, who aren't a TVR specialist but are local to me and come highly recommended by a friend. It's booked in next Wednesday, so I should be fine for the track day on Sunday smile
