Been to see the car today for the first time in a couple of months...and what a difference a couple of months make! Leaving for my holidays for a week at 4am, but couldn't resist getting some pictures uploaded. After all, a picture speaks 1000 words....

Previous threads for continuity:
And so it begins...
The engine is OUT!
Chassis Strip Complete
Rebuild Updates!
Engine Rebuild
Body back on

SO happy with the fantastic work by both Surface and Design and D&C Trim. Attention to detail is superb. Bit dusty in the pictures as it is still in S&D's having a few bits finished off. Next on to X-Works for Heath to wave his magic wand, get the V6 singing, geometry set up and an MOT on it... T-40 days to Scotland.... Can't wait to drive it!! Fingers crossed but just about on plan to make it to Scotland. Done 120 miles today in the little MG though, so plan B is still going strong smile

Full re-trim: Ginger & Green Leather - so pleased with the colour scheme cloud9

Done the roof storage mod:

Dash not quite finished, but had it hydro-dipped and it's come up really well:

Brave internal colour scheme but it works for me, well done. Look forward to seeing it in Scotland, mine has a more used and abused look these days!!

Wow Andrew, it's looking fantastic!

I like the roof storage mod in the larger format, it gives more storage options.

I bet you cannot wait to get it back. Looking forward to seeing it in Scotland.

Enjoy your holiday.

Nice work Andrew, and that dash looks amazing: probably the best looking S1/S2 dash I have ever seen cloud9
I can't wait to see your S2 in the flesh. Your Dad would be so proud of what you've done.

Not long now, see you in Scotland.

Yes, it's certainly..... individual! thumbup

I've heard of biscuit interior trim, but that's the first time I've seen ginger biscuit. wink

I like it; it's what TVR is all about: individual preference and a non-conformist attitude.

I suppose next we will see Max getting his V8S trimmed in pink to match his shirts! ; (

Hi Andrew

That dash is looking superb smokin

I need to do my dash and had not thought of dipping

how much of the prep did you do and approx how much is the dipping (I presume lacquered too ?

had it been covered in leatherette previously or has it always had a hard surface?

Looks brilliant Andrew! I'm a fan of the interior, I think it looks great.

Roof storage option looks very neat too. Have to be honest, I've never really been sold on it, but seeing there on your car....I think I'll be doing that. The carpet looks excellent in there, the way the piping continues into the void.

Thumbs up!

Looks great - my dash has been hydro dipped veneer too.

And I can assure you all that there will be no cerise interior in the V8S, rest assured.

Still makes me chuckle it's 'TVR 280S' when there is a 2.9 engine in it...good old TVR smile
