Hand brake lever sticking
Discussion
I think it's commonly accepted that the hand brake lever on Cerberas are generally a bit rubbish, but mine has got to the stage where I have to yank it up, or right or maybe a bit left before it will start to disengage and allow me to release it
From reading older threads it looks like it's this unit
https://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/universal-r...
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
Is there a good way of making these easier to operate or is it just worth replacing it?
(*I seem to remember a post from a while ago where someone mentioned to push it to one side or something like that but couldn't find any reference to it)
Any thoughts appreciated
Alex

Usually because it's slightly offset it's possible to yank it slightly sideways, so on mine it didn't engage the rachet. Happened again when I picked it up from the paintshop, so I had to readjust the handle (yank it sideways)
Thanks and yes that sounds like something Tanguero (Peter) or someone else said a while ago which I vaguely remembered reading Off the top of your head can you remember if you yank it towards you (as the driver) or push it away from you?
Just so I end up with it getting better rather than worse
With mine it was pulled towards the driver so needed to be pushed away.
Also if you have a leven alluminium grip on the end, when it's twisted/bent slightly the release button sticks
It's not usually very much and if you gently move the lever each way about half way up you can feel the rachet
