My Speed six failed on a steering rack leak.
It's off the car now and ready to go for a refurb but I am asking for recommendations.
I know of a couple of places but I know nothing of their work.

Kiley Clinton are on my list. Do you mind telling me what they charged?

Rack rebuilders are good at dealing with leaks, but do not expect them to improve play - that is usually outside their comfort zone. The only option they have is to add shims to the pinion, which moves the pinion wear zone a fraction of a mm. That may help a little, but it won't fix a rack that has failed due to contamination.

AFAIA there are no new rack bars nor pinions available, so basically a rack with play is doomed.

It's not a play problem, I have none of that. Lucky for me it's just leaking offside.

I paid £340 cash. Covering the strip, deep clean, rebuild with new seals and a new end nut as mine stripped (most do apparently).
