Hi chaps,

We've now got everything we need (well, I'm struggling with the 'time' element a bit) to put production into full swing.

I'm going to do them in batches of five, as it gives me the best chance of working through the list efficiently. I should have everyone's email address by now, so keep an eye out for an invoice arriving. I can take payment by BACS, card over the phone or Paypal (sending as a gift is appreciated, if you choose to do so smile )

Will be in touch.

Thanks

Kitchski,

I'm out of the country until next year, so happy to be near the bottom of your list and let others who can do something with it, get theirs earlier!

Fitted to my S1 in about an hour with no cutting of tunnel required.
What a difference! Very positive gear changes without contorting wrist when going for 2nd. much reduced gearlever travel makes changes effortless.
Thanks Richard.

Hi chaps,

Aim to be getting these out by the close of next week. Here's the list so far, in order of who was first through the door:

  • LawrieS
  • Potless Paul
  • Alan461
  • cb500t
  • Ralph S3
  • Skinne01
  • ukflyboy (has stated willingness to move downwards in priority as he's not around much at the mo)
  • GadgeS3C
  • jwoffshore
  • T' Veteran Racer
  • jacksocket
  • A chap called Brendan who rang me
  • The Horse
I'll shortly be contacting you all via email regards the next steps. The remaining people who expressed an interest via the forum here, but didn't email me, I'll go through and send the same email to you shortly after. I do have you on the 'list'.

The shifters are going to be £160 (including VAT and carriage, assuming you're mainland) and I'll be doing a run of 20 this time, so at the moment they're not all sold out.

Thanks

Rich

Hi chaps,

Thanks to those who are now paid up, I'll aim to get these out before the end of the week.

A quick note to say that, for some reason, I can't reply to hotmail or outlook addresses via the Southways email system at the moment. No idea why (doesn't surprise me with our IT setup!) but thanks to those who've settled.

Hi chaps,

Apologies to those who've ordered a lever, as I'm running behind already this week. Had a mare with a Chimaera's PAS hoses yesterday and lost a day. Also battling man-flu, so I'm not as productive as I could be (I know, I'll solider on like the trooper I am!)

Cheers

Good timing David!

Was about to pop in and say the bug has (mostly) gone. 'Orrible that was!

They're all made now, just painting them. Painted four yesterday with the first coat, will give them a second coat today and hopefully those will be out the door tomorrow to the first four people who paid (I believe you are one of those David).

Will aim to get the rest painted and shipped ASAP.

Thanks for everyone's patience.

Hi Richard.

Do you have an unsold quickshifter? Or are any more on the way?

The reason I didn't jump in sooner is that I didn't have an MOT until today: one thing at a time!

Hi John,

All but one of the people who've paid up should have their lever by now. I will have a few more available in about a week or so.

Thanks

Thanks, Richard. Please let me know as soon as ready; I need to change the rubber gaiter (fumes in the cabin), and want to do both at the same time.

Any recommendations (anybody) for a gaiter, maybe taking advantage of the reduced lever travel? Is there a cheaper option than the new Racetech item? Has anyone tried that one on an 'S'?

Hang the expense, do it once, do it right. It's an exact copy of the genuine Ford gaiter TVR used so has got to be the best bet.......... imho wink

We've used Freelander gear gaiters up until Racetech unveiled the repro original item a couple of weeks back. I think the Freelander ones do a better job after we've fitted them (but then I would say that) as they're tougher, fitted with a sealed baseplate that we make, and have increased movement as they're bigger. Shouldn't happen again, but as Mike says, these are the ones TVR used, so it's a more straight forward replacement. Plus, they might be better quality than the ones TVR used to use.
