Help with 3D Scanning?

Do you actually need it scanned or do you want an accurate drawing or 3D model of it?
If you have it scanned you will essentially have a point cloud which will require post processing and usually some additional measurement to turn that into a model.
If you want a model it may be better to look for someone who can measure it on something like an OGP ZIP 250 or one of the many Baty machines and draw it for you from there.
Really the way you measure it depends on what you want to do with it i.e. make more, create a drawing for back up if you ever need another or digitise it for a game/piece of software.
