I hope the V8S driver and passenger who had an almighty smash up.on the M11 on the way back from Burghley are ok, not sure if it was anyone on here but I can't see that car seeing another day. Wishing you well whoever you are
Just to let you know the accident was one of our East Kent members i arrived a couple of min after it happened and stayed until the ambulance arrived. Both where taken to hospital however nothing major i am just awaiting word from them as to being discharged so my deputy RO can drive up am bring them home.
All good cars can be replaced people cant
Andrew
I'm so sorry to hear about this, hope the occupants are going to be OK with no serious injuries.
We await further news.
Obviously Andrew is correct in saying that people cannot be replaced, but the same holds true for V8Ss. Getting very scarce now.
I can't help wondering if it is Paul ( OldredV8S ) and son Ben.
Whoever it is, you have our full support if there's anything we can do to help.
Please keep us posted.

Hope the people in the car will be ok.
Sad loss of the V8S.
Hope they can find a replacement car and be back behind the wheel asasp.
Best wishes to them for a full & speedy recovery.
Simon
Hi Guys.
Thanks for your thoughts... I can confirm it was me and my Blue V8S (K32 XHA)
White van man has accepted full liability... it will be a difficult car to replace... but I'm back at work today, so the car took the brunt of it..
Hopefully I'll find something to tempt me back on the road again..

Great to hear you're OK. Is the car really beyond repair? This was mine after a loosing it in similar weather conditions a few years back. Thanks for your thoughts... I can confirm it was me and my Blue V8S ....
Looks bad doesn't it? Luckily the chassis/steering wasn't damaged and the bonnet took most of the impact so it was all cosmetic (bloody expensive cosmetics though!). Anyway It wasn't written off, so no 'Cat C' and it was on the Timeline yesterday. "What man has made man can make again" (*).
Obviously it depends on how much damage the car sustained but PM me if you want to know how I did it.
Good luck
(*) the spot light pods off my old bonnet are now part of someone else's S3 bonnet and, as you can see, the petrol was recycled pretty quickly. 'S' owners don't miss an opportunity to recycle

Don't you know, but glad to hear you're OK. We had that car in briefly a couple of years ago at Southways, when a chap called Chris owned it. He was selling it, and I had to restrain myself from trying to fund it myself! I've got a few pics of it somewhere, and I remember it because it was a cat-equipped car (which is quite rare), so it had the Chimaera exhaust headers etc.
Cars can be replaced, people can't.
