Hi Guys..
Well, that's another TVR off the road..
Insurance have classified it as a category "B" write off..

Just need to argue with them regarding the valuation... I'd struggle to buy any TVR with what they offered me... maybe I should just buy a badge and start building from there..

Just wondering how many people out love Insurance companies?

A shame they've classed it as a Cat B, as structurally I doubt there was much work to be done.

Oh dear. I take it you didn't have agree value on your insurance cover? Being cat B, you may be offered the car to strip for parts. I don't think it's legal to sell it on in that condition.

From RAC website:

Body shell should be crushed. Signifies extensive damage, although some parts are salvageable. Should never re-appear on road, although reclaimed parts can be used in other road-going vehicles.

It does say 'should not' and not 'cannot.' smile

I notice some insurance companies (Adrian Flux for one) will insure a car repaired from cat B which surprises me. Perhaps for trackdays only??

Not sure I'll have the time or space to strip it down..
..Radiator was dented in the accident one wheel was pushed back..
..although it had a new alloy tank, not sure how that would be affected.
