Hi Di Hi Campers! wavey

Owing to family commitments this year, I am unable to camp it up at Barn Farm with you,
but I have reserved a limited number of camping pitches for the weekend of Fri 25th - Sun 27th May to coincide with the High Peak Nomads TVRCC "Thrills in the Hills" scenic tour.
This popular run starts from Hassop Station Cafe car park ( DE45 1NW ) on Sat 26th May and is just a 15-20 min drive from Birchover.

Last year this event attracted a small gathering of just 100 TVRs, so this year we are hoping for a bit more effort.

The cafe opens at 9:00am and serves hearty breakfasts and the run will start at 10:30 prompt.
I will be there flogging buffet lunch tickets for our lunch stop which will be at the Knights Table, Quarnford as per last year. We have requisitioned the whole pub for exclusive use by TVRs ( and other hangers-on wink ). The afternoon finish is at the rather stunning viewpoint at the Monsal Head Hotel.

Anyone wishing to book a pitch at Barn Farm should contact me please, as soon as possible because places are limited. This is a busy BH weekend for Barn Farm.
Our "usual spot" will be occupied by refreshment stands and an archery range, so I have secured the grassy areas on the other side of the wall.
Price is £10 per night per person, payable at reception on arrival. As usual , just tell them you're one of the TVR lot, and they'll tell you where to go. smile

You will need to pre-book your meal places at the Red Lion or Druid Inn well in advance to be assured of a table.
Also I have appointed Ragtop and Dean as adjudicators for the snail racing; any contestants found to have administered performance-enhancing substances will be banned from the competition. Likewise any removal of the snail shells to increase the power to weight ratio is prohibited. This is rather pointless anyway, as it only makes them more sluggish.

For all other Barn Farm S Club related information, such as rools and regermalaisians, and do's & dont's etc, please refer to previous years topics on this forum.

Have fun,
Hope to see you enjoying the "Thrills" Grand Day Out. driving

NB. Barbequeing the peacocks is strictry verboten. nono
