This has just come up. An unfinished project S1. Apparently a good deal of work has been done already.
It is in the Ormskirk area in Lancashire (pretty close to me)

I posted about it yesterday. I think it will make a good buy for someone, unless the reserve is too high in which case it wont sell.

Nine separate bidders up to now, so somebody can see the value in this. Apart from the work noted for completion, I would imagine the wiring could take a lot of sorting and the interior could absorb a lot of cash.

Hmm, chassis “reconditioning” looks a wee bit suspect to me if the photos are anything to go by. Or is it just my dodgy eyesight?

Not all chassis repairs have been done by our favourites but that doesn't mean to say they are necessarily not done well. I have seen a brilliant repair done by a craftsman welder. However the normal adage does apply...chassis, chassis, chassis!! Fool to buy without checking. If you are really keen but cant get there in time get in contact, I am 30 mins away and could give it a look over.

Even I can weld better than that! It looks like he's repaired it with Plasticine.

He also says "The car was originally written off because of damage to the front LH side of the chassis." Looking at this photo...

..I'd say it still is. Looks out of alignment to me.

If anyone is contemplating this I'd suggest you'd need to be thinking about a complete chassis rebuild. But if what's shown in the photos represents the standard of workmanship then buyer beware.

Not good! 4.5k reserve! That S3 with light damage but otherwise very nice went for less. They have gone up a fair bit since I got mine but if he gets that much I will need to up my insurance!

Surely he won't find anyone daft enough to pay that for it.

He appears to have got £2040 for it. At that price I was tempted but the last thing I need right now is another project!

Seems odd to go to the trouble of repairing the outriggers and to not even use the right size tube to look like a half decent repair, possibly repaired in situ and the body hasn’t been off?

He's relisted it. Hope springs eternal laugh

Eventually someone will be daft enough to buy it.

After two failed attempts to sell it at auction, and getting just over £2000 each time. He has now advertised as a buy it now for £4500!
