Agreed, albeit it’s sold now (not to me!!). Will await a known one to come up on here or owners club circles.
Might have a quick look at that 18k miler in Kidlington but tyres on it are 2004 and suspect it would need a lot of age related work for a top priced car.
Cheers

Slightly puzzled by this one. It is with a dealer in London but wrongly listed as an S1. H reg 1990 car. Pretty sure it is a known car H 9 ALD, anybody got info? Looks excellent.

It is puzzling. At a dealer, looks good at first sight and at least £4000 too cheap! Nothing too bad on theMOT history either.

This looks very dodgy. Here is the same car, different advert:

https://www.luckydalecars.co.uk/used-cars/tvr-s-co...

I would suggest that the Ebay listing is fraudulent.

The usual MO for these scams used to be that they get you to PayPal a deposit (or even buy it outright) and the car of course isn't yours. I used to weed these out for AutoTrader years ago when I was there as a tester. I doubt the method has changed that much!

This one is unusual in that there is no external contact in the images or advert text, but the user ID has zero feedback and has only been around for a month.

The Ebayer vendor has a different address in London but the same photos and (incorrect) descriptions for most of the legit dealers stock, all below value (I think).

Reported to ebay....a definite scam.

Look in other items for sale and it seems to be a genuine stock list of cars........i'm sure it is,.......... but just not his ! And all too cheap.

The stupid thing is you can only report on a particular advert, not on all of the scammers listings....unless you report them all individually.

There were a few fraudulent listings last month for Tivs, but when you clicked on the sellers other items, there were over 2000 adverts for cars, bikes,

caravans, boats etc. You name it they were there and all scams.

Seems to be getting more and more prevalent on ebay.

It is only when some scammer tries their luck and lists a TVR that one of us on Pistonheads spots it.

If it's too good to be true and all that.............

First of the New Year! Grey S1 Bristol. Private. Fair amount of detail. G689MEO is this a known car?*
Just noticed it was owned by the Meya Trust in Cornwall, which seems to ring alarm bells to me, not sure why. Wasn't this advertised not too long ago?

White 1990 S2 S1 Short door and bad door fit, but no engine size given. Cardiff G639UKR Don't think we know this one do we? Apparently been dry stored for 10 years. Looks very tidy but you can see rust starting on the instruments cowls so it would need very careful examination to see what has deteriorated after such a long time. No pics of engine or chassis.
