Have you considered fitting an anchor point to the underside of the panel to clip the cables to, this will prevent the weight of the cables and vibration from loosening your termination points?

Hi Penny yes the cables go to anchored cable ties within 100mm directly under the opening and again every 150mm towards the dashboard. These have not yet been tightened.

Nicely done, it was simply something that came to mind and I thought worth mentioning just in case

Upper inlet manifolds now have their trumpets welded. Need internal smoothing. Height looks OK with the Alfa plenum

Is the ecu controlling the water pump? Could it not do the fuel pump too?

Cheers

Started to look at the inlet side of things. I'm using an Alfa plenum and fbw throttle body which has been paired with the Jag throttle pedal. I'm hoping that it will be low enough to allow the removal of the great big power bulge and do something like the S4 bonnet.

It looks as if those joining hoses are going to be under vacuum, which might be a problem. (You might get away with it if they are joining metal tubes which butt up tight to each other.)

If they do start to collapse I'll fit more stainless tube in them so only the actual bend is un-supported.

I like the way you have wired plugs to the dash for quick removal

Is all the wiring finished now?

Today I had a go at cutting and fitting new carpet to the passenger side footwell. Also glued new blue leatherette to the glovebox and lower dash panel....fibreglassed over the redundant ashtray.

Body back on to check exhaust manifold clearances. Nearside is good but offside too close to the starter motor and needs modifying.
Cleaned and repainted inlet plenum
