Sorry to bomb your thread, but seeing your wheels reminded:

I have a set of those wheels in 17 inch, 7J, that I bought for my Chimaera 6 years ago.
ET18 as far as i remember, so slightly wider than normal track for a Chimaera and might not fit an S.
They are probably in need of a bit of a tidy up, but I do have the hub caps for them too.

I am happy to give them to anyone who likes them and wants them for their S.

If anyone is interested, email me through my profile please. Here's what they looked like on my Chimaera:

They aren't as unmarked any more. They look wrong in the wheel arch in that picture because they had stupidly low profile tyres on them.
I bought some SP12s a few months later and have never used these wheels since. Time for a new home

Watching the conversion with interest, as I just happen to know where there is a Jag S type slowly rotting away.

240 as standard with cats etc.

hoping for closer to 260

gearbox is 5 speed but direct top so a change of diff ratio needed.4.2 to take out and either 3.64 (standard TVR ratio) or 3.32 to go into my LSD .

Maybe it the angle of the photo but that lump looks very tall. How much clearance will you have with the bonnet closed?

Just do what I did Mick, cut the bonnet so it closes and we can make another scoop, I have a long and short mould now.

I dare say there will be 'dress up' parts or things that can be polished. Has it got a Jaguar logo on the plenum?

Not sure how far you are going with the engine before you drop it in but make sure you have a good look at the sump gasket before you drop it in if you haven’t already. They are renowned for leaking and the one I had did indeed leak the whole time I had it.

I know and its not light either.. had all manner of issues mapping the IMT valves..

I would prefer something like this but would probably loose a load of torque..

Obv in a 6 cylinder config.
