Has anybody fitted the Chim headlight pods to a S, I saw there was a Lupo pod conversion as well.

doesn't the Chimp use larger component headlights and not 7" ?

also may be best to talk to 'sports car racers'

I don't know Mick, just watched a video on You Tube, some place in Halifax, I could go and have a look I guess.

the Chimp headlight cowl could probably work as the shape of the body in front of the headlight is similar to the S

I looked into this years ago when I had my S.

I actually purchased a set of cowls but never got round to fitting them. I then sold them on to another PHer (a guy called Kieran I think)

I’ll have a dig about and see if I can find the photos

Found a photo on the car they were on originally.

The yellow bit replaces the silver ring, and I was looking at Perspex covers, but never got round to it. You had to drill a hole into the fibreglass and secure them from beneath.

The pod looks longer than the S and the S is a sharp nose as the Chim has a rounder nose, might not fit but liked the look of the covers.

I love the look of the later chim covers.. surly a man of your tallents (ive seen your spoiler!!) could make them fit or were you worried that to keep the cover as per the chim it would spoil the lines of the S?

Do it smile

I have a set on order so I will see if they look ok, if not then another thing for ebay, I got a set of the eyeball light pods like the speed 6 but they don't look good on the S, just don't go with the S lines. I want to just get it into paint ASAP do a bit of driving, Just one or two gelcoat cracks to grind out patch and up.

Blimey I think I may have a couple of those along with perspex covers in my garage.

I started a hard top two years ago, not done anything with it, just a top from some kit car, don't think it will ever be used.

Damian - I dig them out and take some photo's if you like.
Too cold in the garage at the moment though. Drop me a PM to remind me.

Alan - I think the hard top was a Car SOS reference.

I replaced mine with mini units back in 2004 when I had it. May be worth searching PH. They were sold as "crystal halogen headlights" for the Mini

Normaly "Cristal" headlights for Minis are not the way to go (on a Mini). I'm a newbie with TVR cars, but I have a huge experience with Minis (almost 20 years owning, driving and modifying). If you want your Mini to light properly, the only headlight brand to buy is Wipac. Late Minis (MPI) was fitted genuinely with Wipac quadoptic headlights and it light properly. But together with a bi-xenon kit, I'm pretty sure the result should be impressive.
