Wiring diagram availability?

I've got an 84 280 recently and have been dealing with just mess after mess. I had the fuel spider rebuilt and the WUR rebuilt did the water pump (wish I hadn't hahaha). I've got things in order for the most part now, and I'm chasing down some odd ignition items.
Primarily, some wandering timing (I cleaned up the dizzy internals and it seems better, though not great) but this whole time my rev counter hasn't worked. I've got the wires that come through the firewall, but not certain where they're meant to ACTUALLY go.
The wires coming off the rev counter are one color and ultimately they splice directly into a black wire going into a main looking harness, a green wire (maybe with white stripe?) and a white wire with a black stripe.
My coil has a green wire and a black wire with yellow stripe (maybe reversed) and it runs in both configurations... so I'm not certain what goes where ACTUALLY. Plus, I haven't found anything on the magic motorcraft box.
Anyway... any direction at this point would be helpful.
