Slow progress- but good progress. As from today -
From before..
I’m struggling securing the top dash and thinking more practically - has anyone used Velcro and how does it cope?
I like the look of the MOMO Trek R steering wheel as I like the black and silver contrast- does anyone have a pic against a black dash? Also are the bosses easy to change over- anything to be mindful of?
Does anyone know what these wires are for in last pic?

Sorry can’t help over electrics, is that by the door pillar?
Wow that looks bloody amazing. Slight transformation.
Sprint article, take pics of everything
Dash, access two bolts of top dash through glove pouch on the left side, wing buts are useful but can undo. The right side is situated just after the curve in the glass I think!,, hard to get nut on and that’s the side which often velcro’d on.
You should see some holes for the top dash bolts to slip through as you lower it down.
I like using the securing bolts for at least 2 of the 3, being crushed in a crash is bad enough but the dash flying about, not good

Very true!
I need to flare up the 3x brake pipes that connect to the block in the engine bay - but I don’t trust myself to do it! So on the hunt for Simone - prefer to pay someone and cheat!
Hmmm, agreed. Easy enough after some practice attempts! I need to flare up the 3x brake pipes that connect to the block in the engine bay - but I don’t trust myself to do it! So on the hunt for Simone - prefer to pay someone and cheat!
Has the engine ran yet, did you get that 4.6 ( memory )

I’ve had her running and cleaned up my brakes a few times. Pretty relaxed about it for now.
I did so many miles in such a short time it’s now bordering high mileage although the engine is tight and still pretty nippy
It’s the little things that make a difference.
You’ve done some graft there. Topman.

Your interior looks great. Without the pics I would have thought black carpet and leather would be too much dark colour but in the pics look great.
I know of a couple of guys that have just velcro for dash fixing and they have no issues. I only had trouble with the vertical bolt by the glove pouch and I just used some bluetac to help hold the washer in place while i fastened up the nut.

Thanks Indigo,
Yes Im pretty chuffed with how it looks - and actually, i took a picture of it in the garage - looks much lighter in day light as the trim is black leather so not as dark as the black leather. I think with the silver offset of the clock bezzels, various leven trim bits etc will look good. so im thinking the momo trek r steering wheel - just dont want it to look "blingy". im just trying to get hold of the 3 leven buttons on the radio panel.
I have loosely put the dash in - as no point securing until i know all the electrics work. But, then velcro come up on various threads and seemed a good idea.
