I need a new set for my 2.9 S3.

Anyone have any preferences or recommendations, please?

Thanks

Bosch, good quality and fair price...... clicky

Don't waste your money on Magnecors, imho wink

Bit cheaper if you can wait for them to come from Latvia? ....... clicky again

Check first if your distributor cap has SAE connectors

or DIN connectors

so that you can order the correct leads.

+1 for the Bosch option - had these for a couple of years and very happy.

Brill, thanks I’ll give them a whirl. Got to be better than the ones on the car - original motorcraft with big suppressors at the dizzy end wobble

Nowt wrong with Motorcraft, still using them on mine but ditch the suppressors and the 'tin can' around the dizzy if you haven't already.

Yeah, I’ve got rid of both of them (only recently though).

I’ve had the car on a rolling road and they reckoned it needs new leads .... never had a problem with the ones that are on, I’ve got to say.

Thanks for your help.

When getting rid of the tin can, needs the other thing (what's it for?) with connector to be replaced?

Are you on about this thing, the ignition module?

You get what you pay for. Magnecors look cool, work well, and last forever. Aerospace grade silicon over stainless steel core, with a 10-year guarantee. I bought mine about 20 years ago, and they are still doing their job.
