Hi Alan, same with me, I will have my caravan there, the awning should provide a 'hospitality suite' for campers if we are unlucky with the weather. One of the reasons for promoting Sywell was the number of budget hotels available in the area, about 2/3rds are staying in hotels/B&B. Makes it easier for those who want to bring partners.

Hi Joe, be very happy to have you there but it is a big event of which we are only a small part, and I have an agreement involving the TVRCC and the promoters (Live Promotions) to have an area for TVR S cars only, as a National TVRCC event. I cannot get you in as an entrant. That gives you two choices; go as a member of the public and park in the public car park and join us in our part of the show ground, or contact the MG car club and see if they have space for an A as an entrant. It is a great event for anyone who is interested in the classic car/motorcycle/plane world.

NUMBERS; I originally booked for 35 cars but interest has exceeded that and I now have 42 booked. A couple are only coming one day but that would still exceed our booking. I have reapplied and been told I can go to 40 but no more! If there is anyone on my list who is NOT now able to go, please let me know, just in case I need to fit someone else in.
EMAIL ADDRESSES; The entry passes will be send out direct by the Sywell organisers by EMAIL about 3 weeks beforehand. That means I will have to supply an email address for each entrant. Can you PLEASE PM me your email address ASAP! (I will be away part of the intervening period so I will be short of time before their deadline). Once I have all the emails it will also be easier for me to send out final information, map etc. ( I already have email addresses for the following Bob Honnor, Jonathan Lowey, Rod Macdonald, Mick Millane, John Newton, Mark Panton, Mike Phillips, Max Unwin)

As you will be aware it is the 75th anniversary of TVR so this will also be commemorated on the polo shirt, so a rather special one. These look likely to cost about £17 incl vat, to be confirmed. These will need pre ordering with size and payment. This will all be covered in my later email. But get ready as time will be tight on ordering so I can have them to hand out as you arrive. You will also get from the TVRCC a matching car windscreen sticker.

and Enthusiasts Facebook group but not all. I hope this covers the information you all need and the queries I have
received? If not, please email me.
SYWELL CLASSIC. I think most of you will have seen details of this large public event? You can check out their
website: www.sywellclassic.co.uk or Facebook page, Sywell Classic - Pistons & Props | Facebook. It attracts
thousands of people and is growing annually. So, this ‘S’ Club Heaven is a little different in that we are part of a
much larger show and our cars (and our enthusiasm for them) are on display to the public.
Satnav - post code for Sywell aerodrome is NN6 0BN on Wellingborough Road, Northampton.
NUMBERS. I asked for space for 35 cars on the showground but response has exceeded that. We have squeezed a
little extra space and we can get passes for a max of 40 cars each day. So good to see a good number of ‘new’
members and cars there! I have 36 cars booked for the whole weekend and a further 4 cars booked for Saturday
only, - and 4 booked for Sunday only. So, 40 each day and 44 cars in total. Probably the biggest single ‘S’ gathering,
and on the 75th anniversary year of TVR too! THANK YOU all! I have included a list of entrants on the last page,
please check for any errors on my part!
ALLOCATED TVR ‘S’ AREA. We will have a definite allocated area to assemble in. I will be sending you a map
showing the access to the showground for you as entrants and the location of our designated show area. (That
map will also show public access and access to the camping ground which is immediately over the road) NOTE:
cars need to be in the assembly area BEFORE the gates are open to the public at 10.00 am each day. If that is going
to be a problem for you, please let me know, but PLEASE get there before 10.00am if at all possible or it will make
it harder for me. We have been issued with a couple of TVRCC MARSHALL jackets, so look out for them and get
parking instructions from them.
For people camping, access on the Friday is from 12 noon to 8.00 pm. If you run late, message me and I will arrange
with security.
HELP PLEASE ! Is there anyone who could come down earlier, on Friday, to help my wife and I set up? We have
access from 12 noon Friday and need to set up in the showground exhibitor’s tent and mark out our campsite area.
So, I desperately need at least one other pair of hands if possible.
I will land a couple of you with TVRCC marshall’s jackets as necessary on each show day!

EVENT MEMORABILIA: POLO SHIRTS As this is the 75th Anniversary of TVR, (and probably the largest ‘S’ gathering
so far), we wanted to create something to record this. Firstly, the
TVRCC is funding a windscreen sticker for each of you to our design,
available on arrival. Secondly, what we trust you will agree is a smart
polo shirt has been designed and we hope that you will want to buy
one? Price £18 each. I hope it will be seen as a good deal (especially
as you are getting in to the event for a mere £5?) This is a good quality
black polo shirt from the firm that TVRCC use, with front and rear
embroidered artworks shown here. I have to pre-order these and will
have them available at our stand after your entry (to wear at the
event, if you want). Size
chart is shown below.

‘JUDGING’ and AWARDS. I must emphasise that this is NOT a concourse event! (Mine certainly isn’t!) However,
we will ask each of you, and perhaps others, to choose your favourite 3 ‘S’ cars and your choice for ‘Go car not
show car’ as well. For practical reasons, the judging will have to be done during the Saturday. We will then collate
the ‘scores’ and make a presentation, provisionally at the showground at 11.00 am on the Sunday. If this time
should change (when the programme is printed) we will advise you via the WhatsApp group. The TVRCC is funding
a trophy for 1st 2nd and 3rd favourite cars. There is also a perennial trophy for the ‘Go car not show car’.
There should also be a new perennial Memorial Trophy available by them. This new trophy will be inscribed with
the names of now deceased members who made an exceptional contribution to the ‘S’ marque and owners club.
To be awarded at the discretion of the organisers.
All award winners will be mentioned in SPRINT Magazine!
RAFFLE. We have traditionally used the ‘S’ Club Heaven gathering for charitable purposes and everyone has
clubbed in. This year we have chosen Prostate Cancer UK as the charity to support. Max Unwin is coordinating the
raffle (thanks Max!), so if you wish to donate a prize and bring it along, that would be great! (If you could let him
know what you might bring beforehand - it would help).
FOOD & DRINK. There is a good variety of vendors and food on the showground all day and early evening. On site,
the large Scarf and Goggles bar will be open, as will the art deco Airport Lounge of The Aviator Hotel.
Tip: bring your camping chairs or shooting sticks!
Note : there is no cash machine on site and card machine signals are weak due to live aircraft, so it would be wise
to bring real pennies and pounds for the show entertainments and food!

TVR ‘S’ CLUB
ENTERTAINMENT. There is entertainment in the various marquees during the day and the popular rock and roll
band ‘Houndogs’ will be playing several
sessions each day. (There is also the
opportunity to learn to Jive if you are
interested!) For those stopping Saturday
evening, there is free live entertainment, big
bar and dancing (for those who want to!) in
the refurbished WW2 hanger. This is a
popular event and I hope many of you will
want to join us there, a nice social event for
us ‘S’ owners!
Some people dress in period gear as a fun option if you feel like it! There will be a large vintage market in one of
the hangars.
PETS. For those of you with dogs, unfortunately only guide dogs are allowed on the show field due to the live
motorsports. However, they are allowed on the campsite across the road but must be kept on a lead and any mess
cleaned up.
SYWELL AVIATION MUSEUM is on-site and well worth a visit. It is free to enter but any donations for the upkeep
are obviously welcome. It’s open 10.30 am to 4.30 pm during that weekend. Check out the site : Sywell Aviation

PHOTOGRAPHER. Are any of you keen photographers who would be willing to take some key photos for the TVRCC
